  • 1 pound Ground Beef Opt for lean beef.
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning Choose a premium blend for the best taste.
  • 10 ounces Diced Tomatoes and Green Chiles Use undrained for a richer filling.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Aged cheddar enhances flavor.
  • ½ cup Ranch Dressing Can be replaced with spicy ranch.

For the Shells

  • 24 pieces Frozen Phyllo Tart Shells Mini pie crusts or wonton wrappers are good alternatives.

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in taco seasoning, then add undrained diced tomatoes and green chiles. Simmer for 5 minutes and cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, mix cheddar cheese and ranch dressing until creamy, then fold in the taco meat.
  • Spoon the mixture into the frozen phyllo tart shells. You can freeze assembled tarts for later.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, adding 2-3 minutes if baking from frozen.
