How to Make Meringue Christmas Trees

  • Prep Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whip Egg Whites: Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually add sugar until stiff peaks form (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Color the Meringue: Add green gel food coloring to the meringue and gently fold it in.
  • Pipe Meringues: Using a piping bag with a large star tip, pipe dollops on the baking sheet in tree shapes, then sprinkle with decorations.
  • Bake: Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes until dry to the touch.
