  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce Use low sodium if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Optional for spice.

  • 2 cups cooked rice Use white, brown, or cauliflower rice.

Instructions

Cooking the Beef

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  • Drain any excess fat from the pan.

Adding Flavorings

  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet.
  • Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.

Mixing the Sauces

  • Stir in the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if desired).
  • Let simmer for about 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.

Serving

  • Serve the beef mixture hot over cooked rice.
