How to Make Almond Cherry Snowballs
Preheat your oven to 320°F (160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until light and creamy, about 3 minutes.
Mix in sweetened condensed milk and beat for about 2 minutes until well incorporated.
Pour in almond extract and continue beating until combined.
Gradually add all-purpose flour and baking powder, blending just until mixture comes together.
Carefully mix in the chopped red and green candied cherries until evenly distributed.
Using a cookie scoop, portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, keeping them about 2 inches apart.
Sprinkle the tops generously with sanding sugar.
Bake for about 12 minutes, or until cookies are lightly golden on the edges.
Let them cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
