How to Make Chocolate Blossom Cookies

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, then add brown sugar and mix until fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Scoop about 1.5 tablespoons of dough, roll into a ball, and roll in your choice of coating.
  • Place the dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each cookie.
  • Bake the cookies for 7-8 minutes or until they look puffy and slightly underbaked in the center.
  • Gently press a Hershey's kiss into each cookie immediately after removing them from the oven.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a fancier touch, drizzle melted chocolate on top before serving.
