Instructions
How to Make Chocolate Blossom Cookies
Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, then add brown sugar and mix until fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing until just combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Scoop about 1.5 tablespoons of dough, roll into a ball, and roll in your choice of coating.
Place the dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each cookie.
Bake the cookies for 7-8 minutes or until they look puffy and slightly underbaked in the center.
Gently press a Hershey's kiss into each cookie immediately after removing them from the oven.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a fancier touch, drizzle melted chocolate on top before serving.
