Directions
In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
In a separate medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the vanilla extract and peppermint extract to the cream cheese mixture. If using food coloring, add it now too. Mix until well combined.
Gently fold the whipped heavy cream into the cream cheese mixture until just combined.
Pour the mixed filling into the Oreo crust and spread it evenly. Top with crushed peppermint candy.
Chill the pie in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, preferably overnight.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for best results. Chill for a minimum of 4 hours for proper setting. Store in the fridge covered for up to 5 days or freeze without toppings for up to 2 months.
