Instructions
How to Make Vanilla and Pear Frangipane Tart
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Thinly slice your pears into ¼ inch strips and set aside.
In a food processor, blend the oats and flour until finely ground. Add sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla extract; blend until smooth and creamy.
Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle of about 14x11 inches and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Spread the frangipane evenly across the pastry, leaving a ½ inch border.
Layer the sliced pears on top of the frangipane.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and beginning to brown.
Combine honey and remaining vanilla extract in a saucepan; brush over the tart after the first bake.
Return the tart to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with cinnamon if desired.
