  • 2 tablespoons Honey For vegan, use maple syrup or agave.
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar Substitute with apple cider vinegar if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha Chili paste works well as an alternative.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Optional; fresh is best.

For the Serving

  • 2 cups Steamed brown rice Quinoa can be used for a protein boost.
  • 1 cup Seasonal vegetables Add your choice of vegetables.

Instructions

How to Make Healthy Sesame Chicken

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add avocado oil, allowing it to warm up for about 1 minute.
  • Add garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Add chicken pieces to the skillet and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together coconut aminos, honey, rice vinegar, and sriracha until smooth.
  • Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet, stir to coat well, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Plate your Healthy Sesame Chicken and serve it with steamed brown rice and seasonal vegetables.
