Instructions
How to Make Gooey Caramel Apple Bars
Preheat Oven: Begin by setting your oven to 350°F. Take an 8x8 inch square baking dish and line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
Prepare Apples: Peel and core your apples, then dice them into small, even pieces.
Initial Bake: Press about ¾ of the refrigerated sugar cookie dough into the bottom of the prepared dish. Bake for 15 minutes.
Add Toppings: Scatter the diced apples evenly across the baked crust, then sprinkle the caramel baking bits over the apples.
Final Bake: Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
Cool & Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely in the baking dish. Drizzle with caramel sauce before cutting into squares.
Notes
Ensure your diced apple pieces are the same size for even baking and store remaining bars in an airtight container for up to a week.
