For the Coating
1cupWhite Chocolate or White Candy MeltsDark chocolate works as a richer option.
For Decoration
1cupFestive SprinklesAny colorful sprinkles can be used.
½cupRed Candy MeltsOptional for drizzling.
¼cupGreen Sanding SugarColored sugar can be substituted.
Instructions
Preparation
Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Crumble the cakes using a handheld mixer until you have fine crumbs.
Stir in the festive sprinkles until evenly distributed throughout the cake crumbs.
Scoop the mixture with a tablespoon and roll it into balls, placing each one onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Chill the truffle balls in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off before placing them back on the baking sheet.
Melt the optional red candy melts in a ziplock bag. Snip off a corner and drizzle over the coated truffles, then sprinkle with green sanding sugar.
Refrigerate for another 10 minutes until fully set.
Notes
Truffles can be made up to two days in advance and stored in an airtight container. Optional: Drizzle with additional melted chocolate for extra decoration.
