Instructions
How to Make Easy 3 Ingredient Shortbread Cookies
Soften butter by letting it sit at room temperature until it's softened.
In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter and sugar. Beat for 1-2 minutes until light and fluffy.
Gradually add all-purpose flour to the butter and sugar mixture while mixing on low speed. Stop when the dough comes together.
Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes.
Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about ¼ to ½ inch thick and cut with cookie cutters.
Place cut cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate again while preheating the oven to 325°F (160°C).
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until just lightly golden at the edges. Cool on a wire rack.
Notes
