  • ½ cup Brown Sugar White sugar can be a substitute
  • 3 cups Apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Mix with dairy-free milk for vegan option

Instructions

Making the Rolls

  • In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and active yeast, allowing it to froth for about 5 minutes. Then mix in sugar, melted butter, and salt. Gradually stir in flour to form a soft, pliable dough.
  • On a floured surface, knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic. Place it in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about ¼-inch thick. Spread softened butter generously over the surface.
  • Evenly sprinkle ground cinnamon and brown sugar over the butter, then layer with sliced apples. Roll the dough tightly from one long side to the other, then slice into equal pieces (about 1-2 inches wide).
  • Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until they’re golden brown and fragrant.
  • In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar with a splash of milk until smooth for your glaze. Drizzle this heavenly mixture over warm rolls and serve them to eager smiles!

Notes

Optional: Sprinkle with chopped nuts for a delightful crunch.
