Instructions
Preparation
Roll out your pizza dough on a clean surface to about ¼ inch thick. Cut it into small squares, around 2 inches.
Place a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough square, pinch the edges together, and roll them into small balls.
On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange the dough balls in a Christmas tree shape.
In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in garlic powder and Italian herbs if using. Brush this mixture over the assembled dough.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the bread for about 20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and serve warm with marinara or pesto on the side.
Notes
For an added layer of flavor, try sprinkling some grated parmesan cheese on top before baking. Ensure each dough ball is well-sealed around the cheese.
