Instructions
Preparation and Cooking
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Toss in diced onion, sliced carrots, sliced celery, and minced garlic.
Pour in chicken broth and cream of chicken soup; stir gently.
Sprinkle thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper over the mixture.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks directly in the slow cooker.
Stir in frozen peas and heavy cream; mix well.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and melted butter until just combined.
Spoon the dumpling batter over the chicken filling; cover and cook on high for 30-40 minutes until fluffy.
Notes
