How to Make Bioplastic Suncatchers

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the unflavored gelatin powder with boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved, creating a smooth, moldable base.
  • Select your loose parts from nature and artfully arrange them in silicone molds, ensuring they fit snugly.
  • Carefully pour the dissolved gelatin over your arranged natural items until they are fully submerged.
  • Set the molds aside in a cool, dry area for at least one day to dry.
  • Once your suncatchers are completely dry, gently remove them from the molds. Attach your string or yarn for hanging.

Notes

You may consider adding food coloring to the gelatin for vibrant effects.
